Our Venture crew were out and about in the wilds of Wexico this weekend. We spent the 2 nights at the excellent IOAC near Rosslare. Once the tents were pitched on Friday night thoughts immediately turned to dinner and luckily there is a Chinese 2 minutes away from the campsite.
After breakfast on Saturday morning the Ventures reached new heights while taking part in Crate Staking. Next we tried our hand at some axe throwing and it's safe to say some of us were better than others, with one unnamed venture managing to miss the target and safety fence to lose an axe in a ditch!
We broke for lunch and reviewed our options with news of a yellow weather warning for rain, the decision was made to drop our tents while they were dry and take advantage of the new indoor accommodation at the IOAC.
The afternoon was spent in Wexford Town taking part in some retail therapy. We prepared dinner back at the site with hamburgers, sausages and pan fried baby potatoes on the menu, followed by a movie night.
We were up and on our way back home bright and early this morning nice and dry after our night indoors.
