It's hard to believe that Little Nellie's Baby Bank has now been running for six years. What started as something very small has grown far beyond anything we could have imagined.
Over the years, we have grown day by day and have helped thousands of individuals and families. If we were to count every coat, every pair of shoes, and every single item that has been donated and rehomed through the Baby Bank, the total would exceed hundreds of thousands of items. These are items that may otherwise have ended up in landfill, but instead have been given a new lease of life with expectant mothers, children, and families who needed them most.
During this time, we have had the privilege of working alongside many local organisations, as well as groups across the country. We have even extended our reach overseas by supporting missionaries in developing countries through donations of surplus stock.
We have also been fortunate to take part in many successful fundraising initiatives, including Bingo nights, Tesco Blue Token appeals, pop-up shops, and community events. Every one of these has helped us continue our mission and support even more families.
Over the years, our Baby Bank family has grown. We have welcomed scheme workers and been blessed with incredible volunteers whose dedication and hard work make everything we do possible. Without their support, we simply could not continue the work that we do.
Most importantly, none of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of Bishop Cullinan, who has stood by the Baby Bank since day one. We are deeply grateful for his continued encouragement and generosity.
As we celebrate six years of Little Nellie's Baby Bank, we give thanks to God for His guidance and blessings, and to every volunteer, donor, supporter, and family who has been part of this journey. Together, we have made a real difference, and we look forward to continuing this work for many years to come.
