❤️💚 Supporting Our Local Defibrillator Working Groups 💚❤️

Our Healthy Club Committee were delighted to present cheques to the Sooey Ballygawley and Ballintogher Defibrillator Working Groups, with the monies raised from our recent Heartsaver CPR & AED Training.

The funds have been split equally between the two groups and will go towards essential maintenance, replacement pads and supplies to keep these vital lifesaving defibrillators ready for use in our communities.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the initiative and helped make it such a success, and to the dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to keep our local defibrillators operational. ❤️💚

Well done again to our under 17 boys on capturing the B2 championship on Saturday last. Match report can can be viewed on previous post.

On Saturday afternoon the U20 men are in Championship action. They are away to Owenmore Gaels in the B Championship with a throw in time of 4.00pm.

With action on the pitch almost finished for 2026, we ask for people to stay off the pitch at PJ Linnane Park for the coming weeks. After a busy season the pitch needs time to recover.
We have become aware that dogs have being walked or let loose on the pitch in recent weeks causing some damage to the playing surface. As has always been the case, dogs are not permitted on the pitch at any time. We ask visitors to PJ Linnane Park to please respect our facilities.

Congratulations to Nicola Harte/O Neill, Ballintogher, the winner of this week's Club €300 Draw in partnership with our official partners, Castle Dargan, with a prize of €300. Don't forget to buy your tickets for next week's draw available in local shops and pubs. Online tickets can be purchased at: https://stmichaels2025.github.io/st-michaels-gaa-payments/

Yesterday evening our Geevagh/St Michaels Under 17 lads brought down the year on our Underage season, and what a way to end it.
The lads started off brilliantly and ran in to a 5 point lead inside the first 15 mins. Castleconnor then got off the mark with a well taken point before they then scored a penalty to reduce the gap to 1 point.
We recovered well with a wonderful 2 point effort from Eryk.
The half time whistle blew shortly after with the scoreline leaving us 2 points up on a scoreline of 0-08 to 0-06.

The second half started tentatively and there was 10 mins gone before the first score of the half came from Castleconnor. The game was too and fro the whole way through the half. Castleconnor went one point up with one minute to go, first time to go ahead in the game.
Eryk then finished the game off with a wonderful 2 pointer in the second half of injury time to win the game by 1.
A wonderful win for the lads. Huge well done to Paul, Greg, Shay and Tony and all the lads on a brilliant win and a wonderful year
