A little about us the organisers; Jemima & Matt. We got married in Easkey in 2013, Matt being from the area, raised in Easkey. In 2019, Jemima identified that West Sligo had many talented local people and being a crafter herself decided to run the very first Christmas Market, here in Easkey. Each year it has grown from strength to strength, and each year Jemima’s anxiety grows as she fears it won’t be well supported, or another red weather warning will come to threaten the day, only to be lifted the night before (yes it has happened!!), but when the final customer leaves and the last stall holder has packed up and gone home, she takes a deep breath and realises all is well and that local folk from Easkey and beyond, really do love to support local. That is why since the very beginning this market has been about giving back to the community, supporting the local Meals on Wheels service - which serves Easkey, Dromore West, to Skreen, to Beltra, to Enniscrone and beyond. A vital service for the elderly, those who live alone and those who just want a hot meal and a friendly face each day.
We are still accepting stall enquiries and hope to see as many returning local faces to this years Christmas Market. Sunday December 15th 11-4pm. 🎄 🛍️ 🎁 🎅🏼 💖
