Save Hazelwood House

Save Hazelwood House Hazelwood Heritage Society is dedicated to promoting the preservation of 18th century Hazelwood House and grounds located on Lough Gill, County Sligo.

Built in 1731 to the designs of German architect Richard Cassells for Lt Gen Owen Wynne, Hazelwood House is an important example of Irish Palladian architecture. Derelict and neglected for many years, Hazelwood House is considered to be one of Ireland's most At Risk structures. Formed in 2006 to safeguard the future of the house, Hazelwood Heritage Society now seeks support for it call for Hazelwood House and demesne to be saved as a cultural, recreational, social and tourist amenity benefiting the people of Sligo and visitors to the region.
