It was with great sadness that we learned yesterday of the passing of our dear friend and fellow Kilteevan Tidy Towns member, Michael Fahey. Michael was a valued and much-loved member of our team, joining us every Tuesday evening, generously giving his time, energy, and commitment to every project we undertook in our community. His enthusiasm, kindness and willingness to help made a real difference, and his contribution to Kilteevan will be remembered with great affection by all who had the privilege of working alongside him. Michael was closely involved in the development of the Cloonlarge Loop Walk and it was fitting that he could often be found walking the Loop with his beloved Eileen. He was a great supporter of Kilteevan National School, always taking a genuine interest in the pupils and offering words of encouragement and praise. Fittingly, Michael’s last official engagement with the school was the raising of the Green Flag in June, a moment that reflected his enduring commitment to community and environmental improvement. Michael's kindness, generosity, and quiet dedication will be deeply missed, He leaves behind a wonderful legacy of community spirit and service to Kilteevan. We extend our deepest sympathies to Eileen, Bríana, Rossa, Aurelia, and Lonn and also to his brothers Noel, Gerry, Ollie and his sister Maura, at this very difficult time.
