Busy day in Kilcummin yesterday the 11/9….
We had three ⭐️’s diving in the ocean for the first time. We had 2 of our members doing ⭐️⭐️ (Miriam) and (Stephen) Coxswain exams respectively ! With Rachel from (Mullingar Sub Aqua) also doing her ⭐️⭐️
Overseen by the RDO Cian ( Athlone Sub Aqua Club )and joined by testers Leo (Mullingar ) and our very own Bernie.
Conditions were less than ideal but the day was a success with all candidates passing their individual exams and all the ⭐️’s popping their ocean cherry.
Thanks to all involved in the organising of the day and those who helps prepare the candidates 👌🏻

41 years established and our first ever table quiz but wow what a night!! Thank you so much to all for showing up and supporting our cause. It really is very much appreciated! The Roscommon Civil Defence overall winners with the Roscommon Men's Choir a close second! Both very kindly donated back the prize money to the club- very much appreciated 💪Dale Kiernan ye were amazing so thank you to all the team!

A Diver first responder course was held at the clubhouse over the weekend, very useful course for all divers new and experienced. Some of our own club members took part as well as John and Angela all the way from Ennis Sub Aqua Club.

After a long and arduous week the multi agency search for Kyle on Lough Ennell has been stood down. Kyle has been returned to his family. Deepest condolences to all his family and friends. A special thanks to all the people involved both professionals and volunteers and all the people in the community who kept the teams fed and watered.

Our Search & Recovery Unit continues to assist in an on-going multi-agency search in Lough Ennell, Co. Westmeath.

We have been working alongside Search & Recovery Units from County Longford Scuba Divers, Athlone Sub Aqua Club, Lough Derg Sub Aqua Club, Offaly Search and Recovery, Roscommon Sub Aqua, Lough Ree Sub Aqua Club, Blackwater Sub Aqua Club as well as Westmeath Civil Defence and An Garda Siochana.

A sincere thank you to all clubs and organisations who continue to to participate in this search operation.

A special word of thanks also to the volunteers on the shore keeping everyone fuelled with warm food and drinks.

The club's Search and Recovery team is currently assisting in a Search for a missing person in Lough Ennell. We are working along with Offaly Search and Recovery, Roscommon Sub Aqua, Athlone Sub Aqua Club, Mullingar Sub Aqua, Lough Ree Sub Aqua Club, An Garda Siochana and the Civil Defense.
