Bank holiday weekend was spent in the beautiful Achill island , honing the skills as well as developing newly acquired ones. Weekend like these are imperative to staying safe and being available when needed.

Training Thursday past took a slightly different path than normal, we had been approached by a water sport enthusiast who had lost a Go Proband enquire if we could help. Unfortunately we returned empty handed …. Well sort of anyway, no harm helping clean the waterways and chance we get!

Always something going on in the background, during the week Tom and Joseph got their first open water dives in so it’s onwards and downwards from here !
They join other new members Lorna and Adam on the road to passing their 1 ⭐️ after which the real excitement will begin. Today a small but dedicated cohort travelled to Portroe Quarry dive centre to practice and hone their skillls. Portroe is ideal for this as it’s a controlled environment with plenty of of depth and mostly crystal clear Vis. I’m told the water was relatively warm !
