🌻 In 2025 the Knockcroghery Hospice Coffee Morning raised a grand total of €8,044.30, which was presented to the CEO of Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation, Martina Jennings 🌻

🌻 A wonderful community effort and all the money raised went to support the delivery of our local Hospice services. 🌻

🌻🌻 We are getting ready to do it all again and looking forward to your baking, company and ongoing support on SATURDAY, 26 SEPTEMBER 2026 in Culleen Hall 🌻🌻

📣 Rahara Tidy Towns – Bonus Ball Update

There has been a recent change to the National Lottery, with 45 numbers now in the drum instead of 47. This adjustment has had a small impact on our Rahara Tidy Towns Bonus Ball fundraiser.

We contacted everyone affected, and their numbers have now been updated. A big thank you to those participants for your understanding and cooperation, it’s very much appreciated.

We’ve attached an updated list of numbers for this evening’s draw.

🥈🎉 Huge congratulations to all the members of our parish who won silver in the National Cairn Community Games Cultural Finals in Carlow today.

We are especially proud of Carly Donnelly from Rahara, who won silver as part of the U13 Project Team alongside her teammates Laoise Bunn, Ella O’Connor and Freya O’Connor.

Carly, a pupil of Rahara National School, is a dedicated member of our Rahara Junior Tidy Towns.

As part of her presentation, Carly spoke proudly about Fr. Michael Donnelly, RIP, and his role in helping to establish Community Games in Roscommon. Well done to Carly and to all involved👏

Lecarrow Benevolent Committee will be making a presentation to Mags Riordan who is the founder of the Billy Riordan Memorial Clinic, Cape Maclear, Malawi. The presentation will take place on Saturday the 5th of September in Rahara National School at 5pm.

Katie Kenny will give a brief run down as to where the money raised in her February bakesale was utilised. Light refreshments will be served on the evening, all welcome.

We are delighted to see the pumpkins we donated to Rahara National School have grown so big over the summer. These were grown from seeds saved from last Halloween's pumpkins 🎃 🙌

FUNDRAISING CHURCH GATE COLLECTION IN RAHARA

ROSCOMMON SPCA (Registered Charity No: 20206904 - CHY 18790)

Currently at this time of the year our financial resources are running low and yet there has been a significant increase in the amount of injured and sick animals in desperate need of our assistance.

The Roscommon Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Roscommon SPCA) is run completely by Volunteers who give up their free
time to fundraise and work tirelessly each weekend to gather enough funds to cover upcoming costly vet bills.

Our Fundraising Church Gate Collection will take place in RAHARA at The Church of Mary Immaculate on Sunday 6th September 2026.

Your kind support is very much needed and appreciated with ALL money donations collected on the day going directly to animal welfare in Co.
Roscommon.
