✨ Building Resilience • Managing Emotions • Finding Your Calm ✨
Join LA519& Minding Me for a fun, interactive and creative workshop designed to help children feel calm, confident and ready for the new school year.
Through a mix of arts and crafts, stories, breathing exercises, creative activities and practical wellbeing tools, children will explore how they can look after their emotional wellbeing and manage the challenges that can come with school.
🌈 We’ll explore:
💛 Understanding and expressing emotions
🧠 Learning how our bodies respond to stress
🌬️ Fun breathing and calming strategies
📖 Stories and activities that build resilience
🎨 Creative activities to explore feelings and strengths

✨ Help Bring Gulliver's Travels to Life Through Art! 🎨📖

An exciting opportunity for young artists in Cavan to get creative this August with artist Anastasiia Zasimchuck at Johnston Central Library.

It's a wonderful chance for young people to develop their artistic skills, express their creativity, and contribute to a major cultural celebration marking 300 years of Gulliver's Travels as part of Cultúr 2026.

Spaces are limited, so booking is essential!

🎨✨Calling all young people... Join artist Anastasiia Zasimchuck at Johnston Central Library for a series of imaginative drawing workshops inspired by Gulliver’s Travels for a new Digital Art Mapping to take place on Cavan Courthouse this October, celebrating the 300th anniversary of Gulliver’s Travels and 200 Years of Cavan Courthouse as part of the Cultúr 2026 programme.

Students from St. Clare’s NS Ballyjamesduff worked collaboratively to create an incredible mural that reflects the heart of their school community. From academic subjects and sporting achievements to the many nationalities and cultures represented within the school, every section of the mural tells a story of belonging, creativity and pride.

A huge well done to all the students involved for their imagination, teamwork and artistic talent. 👏🌍🎨

Special thanks to artist Anna from Art flying academy for guiding and inspiring the young people throughout the creative process.

🎨✨ Brightening Cavan Town with Creativity! ✨🎨

We’re delighted to showcase a fantastic creative arts project involving the talented young people from St. Felim’s NS Cavan! 🙌

With imagination, colour and collaboration at the heart of the process, the children transformed the front of a set of stairs leading to the school into a bright and vibrant mural, bringing new life and energy to the space 🌈

Well done to all involved and thanks to Anna from Art flying for her help with the project.

Create abstract artworks using photography and painting in this fun, hands-on project led by Andrea Soto - artist and Photographs Forever By Barbs. All finished work will be showcased in a Cruinniú Day group exhibition. 📷🎨
