This Saturday 5th of September demonstrations of solidarity are taking place all over the country to protest our opposition towards the game involving Israel soccer team coming here to take part in a football game.

We are all very much aware of Israel’s illegal occupation, genocide & apartheid in Gaza Palestine & their involvement in illegal settlements against the Palestinian people in the West Bank & throughout.

🚨BREAKING - GAA Executive erect barricades at Croke Park and refuse to accept letter and submission signed by over 200 All-Ireland winners.

Dr David Hickey, former Dublin great, renowned transplant surgeon and humanitarian was denied the courtesy of handing in the letter to the GAA Executive. This occurred in full view of the national press and assembled crowd. Many of the All-Ireland winners were present including Pat Gilroy, Colm O’Rourke, Pascal Canavan and Colm McAlarney.

The attempt to hand in the letter was made following powerful speeches from Ciarán Mac Giolla Bhéin (Uachtarán Chonradh na Gaeilge) John Donnellan (Former Cavan footballer), Aoife Durkan (Barrister and GAA member living in Mayo) Pat Gilroy, Mike Heffernan (St Joseph’s O’Connell’s Boys) and Colm O’Rourke.

The Irish government is denying visas to Palestinian students in record numbers based on unfeasible demands. These students have achieved fully funded scholarships and chose Ireland for its supposed compassion for the Palestinian cause. The number of rejections now stands at 51.

The treatment of Palestinian students stands in stark contrast to the treatment of the 75 dual national citizens who are registered members of the IDF. They are not being investigated in any way and are free to travel in and out of Ireland without visas.

Israel is secretly building a giant earthen barrier across the Gaza Strip. More than half the length of the coastal territory has been constructed in recent months, running through Palestinian communities demolished by the military. The barrier is being built without announcement, without oversight and without accountability.

The Israeli military has confirmed it is constructing a physical barrier along the so-called "yellow line", the boundary to which troops withdrew under the ceasefire deal. The line was envisioned as a temporary division pending a fuller withdrawal. But satellite imagery shows Israel is digging in, heightening Palestinian fears that the line is morphing into a border that will permanently split Gaza in two.

On one side of the barrier, the population has been crowded into a coastal strip, living in squalid tent camps and dependent on aid. On the other side, Israeli forces have leveled the vast majority of buildings, virtually erasing entire towns and carving new road networks and bases on the ruins of Palestinian communities. The land has been bulldozed, the fields destroyed.

More than a thousand Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire began, most in airstrikes and drone strikes. The ceasefire was meant to de-escalate. It has become a cover for consolidation.

The barrier is not about security. It is about permanent control. And it is being built in plain sight, while the world looks elsewhere.

We are calling upon the GAA to end their shameful, immoral, unethical relationship with Allianz, a company named in UN reports as profiting from and enabling the genocide in Gaza. This must end.
