As part of National Biodiversity Week Clones ICA hosted a very successful biodiversity workshop in Clones Library on Monday last. Facilitators and guest speakers were Sinéad McKinley, Assistant Staff Officer, Monaghan County Council and Billy Flynn, Flynn Furney Environmental Consultants. Groups represented were members of Clones, Aghabog and Scotshouse ICA guilds, Killeevan Heritage Group, Killeevan Tidy Towns,Different Keys Choir and Clones Women's Shed. Anne Corley, Cassandra Hand Folk and Famine Museum was also in attendance as well as many interested individuals.

Members of Monaghan Town ICA Guild attended the Monaghan Municipal District Community and Environmental Awards Night in the Four Seasons Hotel on Wednesday 20th May.

Great to see local groups and volunteers being recognised for the fantastic work they do in our communities every day.

There was a good turnout for the AGM In Aghabog The competition for the t cosy was won by Freda Makem Monaghan town guild. There was 19 entries in all so well done Freda. President Irene informed us of progress on the new garden at AnGrianan. Monaghan weekend is taking place in May at an Grianan so all help will be gratefully accepted in the garden. Carol Ewings took on the job of PRO and Angela Mullin took on the job of International Officer. We wish them well in their new roles.
