This equipment that was donated by Fitness Habit Monaghan is already making a real difference in the community. The exercise bike has gone to Eddie, who wasn’t able to get out on his bike during the winter months. Now, he can stay active safely and comfortably, no matter the weather 🚴‍♂️

The treadmill has found a new home in Curragh Lodge – Daffodil Care Youth Residential Service, where it’s been a fantastic addition to their gym. It’s helping to promote wellbeing, routine, and positive mental health for the young people there 💛

Fitness Habit have also donated additional equipment, so keep an eye on our page for more updates. We’re currently working towards creating a gym space for a Family Resource Centre that has amazing plans for how this equipment will be used.
Your generosity truly has not gone unnoticed.

Big thanks to Ardaghey Community Centre for trusting us with the maintenance of their childcare outdoor area 🙌
We were delighted to carry out a full clean-up including power washing and painting, helping bring the space back to life for the kids to enjoy again.
Projects like this are what it’s all about — creating safe, welcoming spaces while giving something back to the community 💛
A special thanks to Stephanie for all the continued support, it never goes unnoticed 🙏

Teaching Life Skills Through Simple Jobs 🔧

Here we were putting up curtain poles, shelving, and a tv wall mount, but what made it special was that the young man in the photo did most of the work himself.
Instead of just coming in and doing the job, I showed him how to measure, drill, and fix it properly. A few small DIY jobs turned into a great opportunity for him to learn some practical skills and gain a bit of confidence.
Not every young person gets the chance to learn these things.

This is something I’d love to do more of through Let’s Give Back.
If you have small jobs around the house like: • Hanging blinds or curtains
• Putting up shelves
• Mounting a TV
• Small DIY fixes
and you think your son or daughter would benefit from getting involved and learning how to do it, I’d be happy to help guide them through it.

The goal isn’t just to get the job done.
It’s about teaching skills, building confidence, and showing young people they’re capable of doing things themselves.

🟧🖤 BIG NEWS – OUR FUNDRAISING FOOD TRUCK IS NEARLY READY! 🖤🟧

Our fundraising food truck is almost ready to roll.
Next up: appliances installed, final touches complete, and getting it wrapped in full Let’s Give Back style. 🚚🔥
This truck isn’t just about food.
It’s about funding youth projects.
It’s about creating opportunities.
It’s about building skills while building community.

At Let’s Give Back CLG, we are now offering small maintenance and outdoor improvement services for people and organisations supporting vulnerable members of our community, including:

✅ Elderly residents
✅ Nursing homes
✅ Disability residential services
✅ Community centres
✅ Addiction Services
✅ Young person residential care settings

🔧 Services we can help with:
• Power washing (paths, patios, yards)
• Garden tidy-ups & clear-outs
• Painting & touch-ups
• Fence / gate repairs
• Small carpentry & repairs
• Outdoor seating areas & improvements
• General maintenance work

We operate a community pricing model, meaning reduced rates are available for services working with elderly or vulnerable people.

🤝 More than maintenance
Sometimes it’s not just the job that matters, it’s the human connection.
If you have an elderly family member who may be feeling isolated, feel free to get in touch. Even a small job can provide a bit of company, conversation, and a friendly face, which can make a huge difference.

👷 Supporting young people through skills
We are also interested in working with young person residential care settings, where appropriate, by involving young people in light maintenance and DIY projects (supervised).
This can support personal development by helping them learn: • basic DIY skills
• confidence and responsibility
• practical life preparation for independent living
These skills can be hugely beneficial for young people preparing to move on from residential care and into adulthood.

🟧🖤 RAFFLE WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT! 🖤🟧
A huge congratulations to Stephanie and everyone at Ardaghey Childcare Centre, who were the lucky winners of our Let’s Give Backs handmade canopy picnic bench!
It was an absolute pleasure delivering it today and seeing it already surrounded by smiles 😊
We just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported the raffle, bought tickets, shared the post, and helped make it possible. Every bit of support goes directly back into what we do: building projects that benefit the community while creating opportunities for young people to learn real skills.
This bench is more than just timber and screws… It’s a space for kids to sit, chat, eat, learn, and make memories that will last for years to come.
Thanks again, Stephanie, for the warm welcome, and we hope the kids get great use out of it!
