A sincere thank you to everyone who supported our Annual Church Gate Collection over the weekend.

We are especially grateful to our collectors and volunteers, including those who came forward from outside the organisation to give their time and help across Donegal.

Thank you also to the parishes, parish communities and everyone who donated or helped spread the word.

This important annual fundraiser helps the Donegal Branch of Down syndrome Ireland continue providing support, activities and services for children, adults and families living with Down syndrome across Donegal.

Our Annual Church Gate Collection This Weekend

Our Annual Church Gate Collection takes place this Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August across the majority of Roman Catholic parishes throughout Donegal.

This is one of the Donegal Branch of Down Syndrome Ireland’s most important annual fundraisers, helping us continue to provide activities, services and support to children, adults and families living with Down syndrome across Donegal.

We would like to say a very special thank you to all our members, families, friends and volunteers, including those who have come forward from outside the organisation, who are giving their time to support collections this weekend. Your help is very much appreciated.

If you see our collectors at your local church, we would be very grateful for your support.

If you are unable to donate in person, you can also support the Donegal Branch through our online donation page. https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/downsyndromeirelanddonegal

We’re absolutely delighted to see one of our Donegal Branch members, David, doing so well in his job at Harvey’s Point Hotel

A recent employment review was a lovely reminder of just how settled and valued David has become within the team. He knows his role, is confident in what he does, and is very much part of the Harvey’s Point family.

It’s moments like this that make us so proud seeing our members supported to find their place in the workplace, build their confidence and, most importantly, be recognised for the contribution they make.

Well done, David! Keep up the fantastic work!

⛳️ Golf Summer Fun Day #2 ⛳️

Last Friday we finished up our two Golf Summer Fun Days with our members at Letterkenny Golf Club, and this time we were joined by Rory from Golf Ireland.

A big thank you to Mary Fowley and everyone at Letterkenny Golf Club for once again linking up with Donegal Down Syndrome and making our members feel so welcome.

We really appreciate clubs and organisations taking the time to work with us and create opportunities like this. It gives our members the chance to try something new, get active, meet people, build confidence and, most importantly, enjoy themselves.

There were plenty of smiles and some great golf along the way!

Thanks again to everyone involved for two really enjoyable days. We can wait to next year.
