💙 A heartfelt thank you to An Garda Síochána

As we reflect on another incredible Letterkenny Pride, we want to take a moment to recognise and thank our local Gardaí for their continued support of our community.

From working closely with our committee in the months and weeks leading up to Pride, to leading our parade proudly with the Garda Diversity Car, helping direct traffic, and making sure everyone could celebrate safely.

Pride is built on community, visibility, and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome. Having the support and presence of An Garda Síochána helps make that possible, and we’re grateful for the positive relationship we continue to build together.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿’𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲? 🤩

Well, our theme this year was “We Stick Together” because we wanted to show a community united in love and joy and also create bonds that allow us to fight for eachother with loyalty and heart.

It was wonderful to see people make new friends and spend the weekend together.

It was heartening to see allies show up for us and walk with us with love.

It was inspiring to see the the Letterkenny community come together to support our cause.

Most of all, every smile we saw, every dance move, every kiss on our main street, every fist in the air in the name of protest and every hug shared between friends (new and old) was a demonstration of what Letterkenny Pride is about. That is, of course, community sticking together and experiencing love as one.

We love everyone who came out and supported us this weekend.
