Join us this Sunday between 1 & 3:30 for a CATU community day in support of our member Anne.

So far we’ve supported Anne in staying in her home to beyond Christmas. If you’re interested in helping or finding out more about CATU, you’re more than welcome to come grab a cup of tea/coffee and a bite to eat.

As a follow up to our most recent video we’ve been out in Bellevue Avenue engaging with residents. More cases of incomplete repairs, vacant homes and serious damp.

The consequence of private landlords owning property and failing to keep them in good condition means they lie vacant while the housing list constantly grows. Homes for need not for greed.

❗Recently, we confronted a landlord - Philip Doherty, who is evicting our member from their home of nine years - ON TOP OF refusing to pay back a staggering sum of overpayments from rent. Phillip has failed to complete (or ignored) repairs for our member (safety hazards) and has tried to ignore us as we try to work with him to come to a resolution which does not make another family homeless and vulnerable.
❗ Enough is enough. We would like to remind Phillip to respond to our letter, as seen in the video.
