ASPIRE Donegal ☀️

Over the last few weeks, we’ve been visiting our member Youth Clubs, just a snippet of some fab printed T-shirts, team games, and sharing lots of laughs along the way,

A huge thank you to all the Clubs who have welcomed us so far, we’ve had a brilliant time!

As always, a big thank you to and for the funding that allows us to provide healthy lunches throughout the duration of the camps ⭐️

Lots of fun, laughter, and great memories are being made at today's one-day Youth Club Camp with Aspire Project Donegal Youth Service Donegal Youth Service at Malin Head Community Centre! 🎉

It was great catching up with you all, well done again 👏

Local Legends: Cully Coders Shine on the International Stage! 🌟

What an incredible achievement! A massive well done to the Cully Coders, a brilliant team of five young girls from just outside Donegal Town, who have made us all proud at the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Canada Cup of Robotics.

Competing against 97 teams from around the world, the team achieved outstanding success, securing:

🏆 1st Place – Alliance Challenge Award
🥉 3rd Place – Champions Award (the tournament’s highest honour!)

The Champions Award recognises teams that truly embody the core values of FIRST LEGO League, demonstrating excellence in Robot Performance, Robot Design, the Innovation Project and Core Values. From identifying real-world problems to designing innovative solutions and coding their own LEGO robots, these girls have shown creativity, determination and fantastic teamwork.

Their success in the Alliance Challenge, where they teamed up with the Mechanical Masters from Montana, is a testament to their technical skills and their ability to collaborate on an international stage.

A huge congratulations to team members Sienna Deane, Georgia Green, Abby Mc Elhinney, Rebecca Mc Elhinney and Zoe Mc Elhinney, as well as their dedicated coaches, Adele and Stephen Mc Elhinney. A special mention also goes to the wider support team — Scott, Brendon and Jennie — whose encouragement helped make this achievement possible.

The girls summed up their journey perfectly:
“We started off practising and presenting to our parents, and next thing we were presenting to a panel of judges in Canada! It has been amazing. We came, we coded and we conquered!”

Thank you for inspiring young people across Ireland, especially young girls, to believe in themselves and explore the exciting world of STEM. Your success shows that confidence, curiosity and hard work can take you anywhere.

Congratulations once again to our local robotics stars! 🤖👏
