The No Barriers Foundation

The No Barriers Foundation No Barriers is a non-profit organisation that breaks down barriers to exercise and physical activity.

No Barriers is a non-profit dedicated to removing barriers to exercise and physical activity. 💪 We empower individuals with disabilities to enhance their physical and mental well-being by getting stronger and fitter. 🌟 We help anyone with a disability to get fitter and stronger improving both their physical and mental health. We have an inclusive centre in Letterkenny for allowing both one to one

and group exercise sessions. No Barriers also has the only Ekso Bionics exoskeleton suit in the North West. The specialist suit enables people with limited mobility to walk and rehabilitate in a way that was never possible before this technology. Find out more on our website nobarriers.ie or send us a message to get in touch.

Beoan’s back!! 🙌💪 If you want to know what the three lads were talking about here it was discussing whether the exoskeleton could be taken for a walk to Mr Chippie along the way from us 🫣😂

Beoan is such a tonic on a Friday, (and every day he’s in of course) - if any staff member is in danger of flagging at the end of the week, Beoan will perk you right up 😂😂 He works SO hard and SO consistently, and with so much laughter thrown in 🫶

If you think you or a loved one could benefit from walking in our state of the art exoskeleton, drop us a DM, send us an email at [email protected], or give us a ring on 083 885 5056

A big thank you to Ireland AM for having No Barriers Foundation on their show on Saturday. If you missed it, you can watch the full interview back on Virgin Media Play under Ireland AM Highlights.

It was great to get the chance to tell a little bit of the No Barriers story and give people a sense of what we do every day: specialist rehabilitation, inclusive exercise and disability services, all delivered in the community.

A big thank you to Daniel also for speaking openly about his rehabilitation journey and what No Barriers has meant to him. Seeing him standing and walking while wearing the exoskeleton, and hearing him explain what it means to be upright and at eye level with other people, was powerful.

Anyone who knows us will know that our belief has always been that someone’s finances or where they live shouldn’t determine the support and opportunities they can access.

A massive thank you to the Ireland AM team, Eric Roberts, Elaine Crowley, Caoimhe Boyle and everyone else behind the scenes, for looking after us so well.

We’re delighted to be one of only three organisations nominated for the Rethink Ireland Growth Fund. This will allow us to reach more people, develop our intensive rehabilitation and disability services, and support more families when they need it.

Through the Fund, every €2 raised from supporters can become €3 with Rethink Ireland’s uplift.

If you feel your business or organisation shares our values, we’d love to have a chat. We’d be delighted to show you around No Barriers, let you see the work firsthand and talk about what a partnership might look like.

Over a three-week period, 30 children joined our No Barriers camps, enjoying a welcoming and inclusive space to have fun, make friends, build confidence, keep active, develop skills and create happy memories.

These photos capture just some of the fun, laughter and special moments from the camps — and our families’ words show the positive difference the experience made.

A huge thank you to Letterkenny Community Centre for helping us facilitate the camps and providing such a welcoming space for the children and families.

Thank you to everyone who made our camps so special!
