At the heart of our work is a commitment to continuous learning and growth.
Supporting women and children who are victim-survivors of domestic abuse requires compassion, expertise and a willingness to keep developing our knowledge and skills. That's why ongoing training and professional development are such an important part of our work.
By learning from each other and other organisations, staying informed about best practices and embracing new approaches, we strengthen our ability to provide high-quality support to women and children.
Learning never stops and neither does our commitment to making a difference. 💜
📍Receiving our accreditation from the RiVeR Project team Dundalk Institute of Technology to deliver ‘In Their Shoes’ experiential training to frontline professionals and agencies. This training puts participants in the shoes of a woman experiencing abuse, exploring the complex and often impossible choices she is faced with.
📍Members of our community-based Outreach team at a creative reflection session examining how we work both with our clients and together as a team.
📍At Scottish Women's Aid and its member services on a learning exchange to explore how different models of refuge could better serve women and children. A wonderful day of international collaboration.
📍Strengthening our commitment to a fair, open and inclusive culture at Amber at one of the EDI team workshops we've hosted this year
📍Enjoying some much-needed team time (and yummy afternoon tea!) for Workplace Wellbeing Day
