Thank you to all of our supporters, without whom our work would be impossible. This year, possibly more than ever, people have been asked to donate to various worthy charities and causes; this makes us all the more grateful that so many of you have continued to send donations our way. Wishing you and yours a peaceful and happy Christmas, from all at Kilimanjaro Direct.

The Loughboy crew would like to thank everyone who donated and helped them to reach their goal of €8000 on their Go Fund Me page! They received many more donations in person and through many fundraising events over the past 3 years. Every single cent has gone to the amazing work in Tanzania that is literally changing people's lives. The page will close at 6pm tomorrow, if anyone wants to give a last minute donation! Further donations after tomorrow can be given via kilimanjarodirect.net. Thank you!

Meet Joseph. The Kilkenny gang paid him a visit last Saturday and saw some of the poorest conditions that they had witnessed in their time in Tanzania. As you can see from the photos, his sleeping conditions (see the bed and sheets) were beyond what anyone should endure. He also had very little to eat. The volunteers worked together to provide a new bed (including a mattress, sheets, pillows and a blanket) and Sheila also brought a food package that should keep him sustained for at least a month. It was a very humbling day but one that left the volunteers with great memories and determination to keep working hard for the charity, long after they returned home to Kilkenny.

On Friday, the Kilkenny volunteers visited Stella and Augustina at their home, where they are having a new toilet installed thanks to your donations. Before this, they did not have any toilet facilities, and now they will have a separate toilet and washroom. This comfort, privacy and dignity is so important and we are so grateful for your help.

The Loughboy crew is SO CLOSE to their target on their Go Fund Me page! They have received many donations outside of this platform, but it would be wonderful to the hit €8,000 mark before arriving home on Monday! If anyone wants to help, go to the link in our bio or Google seach "From Loughboy to Kilimanjaro Direct". Donations of any size are welcome, a little goes such a long way away over here!

If you have been following us for a while, you might recall the story of Joyce, her mother, Evelyn and her daughter, and Happiness. Evelyn has additional needs and Happiness too is in need of support, although her exact needs are unclear at this point as she is only 3. Grandmother Evelyn worries about Joyce and Happiness, but thanks to your donations, things are far better and more hopeful. They now have a regular supply of food and the Kilkenny volunteers were delighted to bring them their latest food package. They were made most welcome by the family. Fundraising is ongoing to keep families like this one supplied with food. Donations as always through link in bio ♥️

The visitors from Kilkenny at Liberty Primary School yesterday. They were made so welcome by the wonderful staff and students. They brought notebooks, maps and pencils (and even a lollipop each for the P7 students who were studying hard for their exams!). The final picture shows the current situation with the school yard; it is rough and stony and it is one the the major projects that Kilimanjaro Direct wishes to address. A safe, even and smooth playing area is vital to the holistic development of the pupils. They would dearly love a football pitch for the students. Any donations you give will go directly to that cause. Link in bio.

The Loughboy crew has arrived. They were brought to visit Joyce, her children, her sister Stella and their parents last night. They delivered a food package containing bags of maize, rice, beans, tea and biscuits. The money raised by the group paid for all of this- thank you so much to all who made this possible.
