We were delighted in Owning House to have hosted the Annual ICA Senior Citizens Dinner this afternoon. Thanks to all who joined the Owning Guild for this wonderful afternoon of good food, great craic and lovely music.
The ICA would like to thank the staff of Owning House for serving a beautiful meal to all their guests and to the musicians who came along and gave of their time freely for the enjoyment of all there.
A great afternoon was had by all in attendance. We are looking forward to the next one already!

Father Moore has kindly offered to celebrate a Mass in celebration of the life of Eddie Malone in the Church in Owning House Retirement Village tomorrow Thursday 5th February at 10am. Anyone wishing to attend are very welcome.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of resident Eddie Malone yesterday morning.
Eddie passed away peacefully, following a short illness.
Eddie will leave behind a great legacy. He was a true gentleman, always kind and considerate and very appreciative of all who helped him. He will leave all who knew him with very fond and cherished memories of great conversations, good company and lots of valuable history lessons.

Throughout Eddie's time at Owning House he led the rosary in the Church at Owning House Retirement Village every morning, 365 days a year. His deep faith and his devotion to Our Lady was honourable and he took immense joy in other residents and parishioners joining him in prayer each day. He appreciated the little things in life. He loved his farm and took the daily trip to Garryduff almost every day after the Eucharistic service and would time it well in order to be back for dinner.

Eddie will be deeply missed by residents, committee and staff but his spirit lives on in every shared memory and chat. May Eddie rest in eternal peace.

We extend our deepest sympathy to Eddie's family and wide circle of friends at this difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of resident Brian Walsh on Saturday morning.
Brian passed away peacefully, surrounded by the comforting presence of his family in the Oak ward of University Hospital Waterford.
Brian will leave behind a legacy of kindness and cherished memories for all who knew him.
We extend our deepest sympathy to Brian's daughter Elaine, her family, the extended Walsh family and his wide circle of friends at this difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Throughout Brian's life, he found immense joy in the little things in life. He loved his fishing and cutting timber and was known in the dining room of Owning House for his remarkable tales and storytelling of his working days, that always caused a flurry of laughter across everyone.
Brian will be deeply missed by both residents and staff but his spirit lives on in every shared memory and chat. May Brian rest in peace.
