Showering and changing facilities available, refreshments and the opportunity to meet each other, members of DS Kilkenny and relax after the cycle

Cyclists can choose from 3 routes - 45k, 65k and 105k all clearly marked and takes you around the scenic Kilkenny region. This cycle is a great way to continue your cycling journey in 2024. All funds raised will go directly towards funding the work of Down Syndrome Kilkenny - we work with people around Kilkenny providing therapies, educational services, social and skills development and a whole lot of fun. We would like to make a special mention and thank you for your support in the coordination of our cycling event to Kells Angels Cycling Club, Danesfort GAA, Gowran Park and Paulstown GAA. CRITERIA FOR PARTICIPATION

A bike in good working order and brakes operational
A properly fitted helmet. Recommend high-vis and lights. A “buddy” system is encouraged where any participant might be potentially more vulnerable to risks associated from cycling (e.g. young persons with less experience)
If over 74 please make contact with the event organizers as additional insurance sign off is required. COMPETITION RULES

Saddle Up for Down Syndrome Kilkenny – Giveaway Rules
1. Eligibility

Open to entrants 18 years and older. Participants must be eligible to register for the Saddle Up for Down Syndrome Kilkenny cycle as per the event's entry requirements. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.

2. How to Enter

Comment on the giveaway post and tell us who your favourite cycling buddy is. Follow our page to be eligible. Optional: Enter a second time by commenting on our corresponding Instagram/Facebook post.

3. Contest Dates

Start: [Today’s Date]

End: 19 May Saturday at 11:59 PM

Winner will be announced within 48 hours.

4. Prize

Two (2) free entry tickets to Saddle Up for Down Syndrome Kilkenny on May 11 in Danesfort. Tickets are non-transferable and have no cash value.

5. Winner Selection & Notification

The winner will be chosen at random using a digital picker tool. The winner will be contacted via direct message to arrange ticket details. If the winner does not respond within 48 hours, a new winner will be chosen.

Back at Club, the place was buzzing with music, food, dancing, games and plenty to keep the younger crew entertained.

From pedal challenges to inflatables, it was a proper family day out and a great way to welcome riders back across the finish line.

That mix of cycling and community is what makes Saddle Up so special.

Over 300 cyclists took to the roads around Kilkenny for Saddle Up for Down Syndrome Kilkenny. What a spin it turned out to be!

Sunshine, strong legs and serious support all round. 💜💙

From the first riders rolling out of Danesfort GAA Club to the final finishers crossing the line, the energy never dipped.

All funds raised will support the vital work of Down Syndrome Kilkenny, helping provide therapies, supports and opportunities for local families, and thanks to match funding from this year, every euro goes even further.
