A big well done to our 5 athletes Ellie Kirby, Aidan Bracken, Aidan Barrett, Alyssa Giblin and Laura Goulding who took on cross country at loughrea on Saturday morning 👏👏All five did absolutely brilliant, and we are so proud of them!

Cross country is no easy task, especially when you’re faced with such a tough and challenging course. 😬😬 It really takes great determination, and a really good attitude just to get out there and give it your best, and that’s exactly what they did this morning!

A huge thank you, as always, to our brilliant coaches who prepare the athletes for these events. Thanks to the parents for getting the kids up, and bringing them along to represent the club. We really do appreciate it!

Be proud of yourselves, lads and lassies , you did yourselves and the club proud this morning. Big smiles all around

What a morning for our EGAC athletes at Palace Fields in Tuam! - Galway County XC Champsionships UNEVENS events.

We had 12 of our young athletes take on the cross-country course this morning in some seriously wet and mucky conditions and they absolutely smashed it!

From our U9 crew — Hugh, Jonah, Donnacha, Emmet, Ellie, Libby, Charliegh and Shauna — to our U11 crew - Ellie, James, jack and Charlie. every single athlete showed incredible determination and gave it their all.

Cross country is never an easy task, especially with big numbers lining out for each race. We are so, so proud of every one of them for taking on the challenge and giving it everything they had.

A special mention to our U9 girls, Ellie and Libby! 🥈🏅

🥈 Ellie had a fantastic run, finishing 2nd and taking home a silver medal.
🏅 Libby also another brilliant race, finishing 6th and bringing home a medal.
Both girls showing serious grit!! And to put that into perspective, over 40 girls lined out for their race! 🤩 What an achievement!

Congratulations to Ellie, Libby and every single one of our athletes. Most importantly, we were absolutely delighted to see so many smiling faces crossing that finish line!

It’s fantastic to see EGAC proudly lining out among the other clubs across Galway.

Well done everyone — you should all be so proud of yourselves!

Next up our EVEN athletes events 👏👏💪💪
