We're excited to announce that Lourdes Brass Band will be bringing something completely different to Culture Night 2026!

Join us for Brass After Dark – a free evening of live music featuring an energetic mix of pop, rock and other favourites in the unique setting of Sarsfields Bar, Drogheda.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and supported our Lourdes Brass Band Table Quiz last night! ❤️

It was fantastic to see such a great turnout, and we hope everyone enjoyed the night. Congratulations to our winning teams and to all of our raffle prize winners! 🏆

A special thank you to Vandel Removals, our main sponsor, for their generous support, and to McHughs Venue, Drogheda for hosting us.

We'd also like to thank everyone who donated raffle prizes, our volunteers and markers, and everyone who helped with the organisation and running of the night.

It is with great sadness that Lourdes Brass Band learned of the passing of Gerard Black.

Gerard was a wonderful supporter of our band over many years, and the Black family have made an enormous contribution to Lourdes Brass Band across generations. His daughter Jennifer served as our Band Secretary for many years, while his granddaughters Kayleigh and Shannon are valued members of our Senior Band. Many of Gerard's nieces, nephews and extended family have also been part of our banding family over the years.

On behalf of everyone at Lourdes Brass Band, we extend our deepest sympathies to Jennifer, Kayleigh, Shannon and the entire Black family at this very sad time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Gerard's Funeral Mass will take place on Monday at 11.00am in Holy Family Church, Ballsgrove.

May Gerard rest in peace.
