📣📣AGM ANNOUNCEMENT📣📣

Our AGM will take place on Tuesday 9th June at 7pm in Drogheda Educate Together Secondary School.

At the AGM, we will be electing the committee for the 2026/27 year and we may even have some exciting news about next year’s plans 😉

The committee roles open for nomination are:

• Chairperson
• Vice Chairperson
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• PRO
• Fundraising Officer
• Child Welfare Officer
• General Member with responsibility for Props
• General Member with responsibility for Costumes

Each committee member must be nominated and seconded by a member. If there is more than one nomination for a role, a vote will take place. Please note that only members who have paid full membership will have voting rights.

Before putting yourself forward, please be aware that committee members are expected to attend committee meetings regularly. There will also be additional responsibilities throughout the year, including roles such as Production Manager, Cast Liaison Officer, and Health & Safety Officer.

Committee meetings are generally held on Mondays or Wednesdays before rehearsals. If you feel you may not be able to commit to this, we kindly ask that you do not put yourself forward for election.

Spirit of Aims.

For successfully reviving the society after an absence of nearly 40 years and bringing musical theatre back to Drogheda.

We couldn’t be more proud of and and all of the team for this nomination. Bring on the awards weekend!

Excitement met fever pitch tonight. Massive congratulations to and and all of the team. This nomination is so well deserved. And if this is how we react to just the nomination, can you imagine what we’ll be like if we win 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

The curtain’s fallen, the stage lights dim,
The echoes fade of each chorus and hymn.
Costumes hung and scripts well worn,
Yet theatre hearts are never truly torn. 🎭

For somewhere still, in dressing room glow,
Live the laughs from months ago.
The nerves, the notes, the standing cheers,
The friendships stitched through countless years.

And now tonight the spotlight swings,
To celebrate the joy this season brings.
Nominations night has finally arrived,
A moment where every memory feels alive. ✨

From all of us at Drogheda Musical Society,
We’re sending love far and wide tonight.
To every cast, crew, orchestra and friend,
Whose passion makes the magic never end.

Whether your name is called aloud,
Or you’re simply sitting proud,
You’ve already played your part
In filling theatres and warming hearts.

So here’s to the music, the madness, the mayhem,
The quick changes powered entirely by caffeine and panic. ☕🎶
And most of all, to the people beside us,
Who make the stage feel a little like home.
