Each month for 2026 we will share an artwork from our ‘Dare to Dream’ calendar.

2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).

For this notable year people supported by Horizons submitted art inspired by their dreams and goals.

The artwork for September is called ‘I Dream to continue my education and to go to the library’

Artist: Mary Rose Marshall

If you or your business can support someone to achieve their goal please contact our team on (021) 4643326

* UNCRPD Article 24 People with disabilities have the right to reach their educational potential

Thank you to Sysco Ireland for generously sponsoring the ‘Dare to Dream Calendar 2026’.

Well done to Joe and Darren from Flannery’s who organised a fantastic Luncheon event, raising an incredible €4576.63 in aid of Horizons.

Funds raised supported the creation of a sensory garden at Horizon’s services in Glasheen.

Glasheen celebrated the opening of this garden with Joe and Dareen (swipe to see photos & a video of this fun filled garden party)

There is long list of people to thank:

👉 John Gaffney from Flannery’s for donating his lunch time profits, Joe, Darren, Dawn and all the staff for hosting a great luncheon event.

👉 Thank you to RedFM, Neil Prendeville and all their listeners.

👉 Connell Thomas, Tadhg Dineen and Stephen O’Mahony who donated hours and funds.

👉 The wonderful Carol O’Hea who designed our new sensory garden and did so much work onsite with all her family.

👉 Catriona from Penny Dinners, Noblewood for the topsoil, and Keith Hanley for his discount on our beautiful new pergola and a long list of volunteers.

👉 Thanks to everyone donated

Thank you for supporting us - we couldn’t have done this without you!
