I have literally...no flipping words. 😂
Its kind of artsy with the slow mo and sped up action at the same time. Thats hard to achieve to be fair.
Mel is a vet, she is so talented and kind but....two things we know about Mel.
1. She cant get a good release video to save her life
2. She can never put a cable tie on correctly, struggles massively trying to connect a cable tie to its other half.

This sparrowhawk came in with severe concussion and dropped wing but made a full recovery and went home 🥰

You could mistake this for an oil painting 😂. This is one of 6 fox cubs currently in care. They will be heading up to our great friends at in the coming days. We have already sent alot of cubs up to them as we don't have facilities for the last phase of rehab. Dan and the team help so many rescues in ireland by taking in certain species that some of us are not equipped for.

We had 20 patients admitted yesterday, its gearing up to be a busy busy summer for the team. 🥰

Huge thank you to the 6th class girls of Whitegate National School who did the Queen of the May fundraiser in aid of our charity.
It was organized by Anna and Izzy, and the 3 queens were Caoimhe, Anne and Saoirse.
We are overwhelmed that they raised a whopping €257 for us. ❤️❤️❤️

Girls, so many little baby animals will be able to be cared for because of this donation. You should be so proud of yourselves for doing such good in the world and helping animals.
Well done and keep it up. The team and all the animals here really appreciate it. 🥰

Tiny baby stoateen has moved to a larger enclosure, this will help to encourage normal behaviour of a stoat. As you can see hes wasting no time exploring and smelling everything. We got this little bug from a rescue in Mayo. After a few weeks of fairly intensive care we are on the last leg of the rehabilitation journey with this little fella. 🥰

Our first nest of starlings came in on Wednesday and look how much they have grown in 5 days. 🥰
We mark their heads with a colour to make sure we know who has eaten and also to track their weight daily to ensure all are thriving. It can be hard with a mass of open mouths to know who is who so the colour coding helps with this and comes off by the time they are self feeding.

A bit of an insight into the differnce intensive care can make to an animal. This little fox came in a few days ago, collapsed, cold, severely dehydrated. Took days of being in an incubator, getting fluids throughout the day, a veterinary treatment plan and syringe feeding to get him back upright. We are always hopeful when an animal starts behaving normally again and we are glad that when giving him a new food item last night he grabbed it and even growled at Mel. Always a positive sign. 🥰

We would like to join everyone in wishing David Attenborough a very happy 100th birthday. I think many of us in the field of animal care started our journey from watching his documentaries as children and falling in love with nature. This is definitely true for myself anyway. He is one man with a passion who passed it onto millions of people.
One person can make a difference. Each of us everyday can make a difference. Help a person out with a kind act, help an animal out by leaving fresh water for them, pick an injured animal up off the road and get it some help, chose to use your reusable water bottle, cut down on purchasing cheap clothing that is inevitably thrown out, avoid buying items covered in plastic, avoid buying things that are damaging our environment.

Maybe if enough us do one thing to help....we will see a big impact. ❤️
