Three little souls waiting for their next bottle feed

This is one of three kittens we brought to the vet yesterday. they are 3 weeks old and all have cat flu. they got antibiotic injections and sent home with more antibiotics and anti-inflammatories. Thankfully they have no lung infections. so they should be okay. they have never been handled and are feral as they do not make a sound. this is natures way of protecting feral kittens from being heard and attacked. they are so young they will be easy enough to tame and be ready to rehome as pets. cant believe in September we are still bottle feeding kittens. thankfully these should be able to drink on their own soon.

It is with great sadness we have to let you know the findings of our vet on Lasair.

Firstly at nineteen years old she had just become too weak to keep fighting to live and her broken frail body was giving up.

We have no idea how many years she had been passed from pillar to post from dealer to dealer but we can guess many.

The results showed her last foaling took the worst effect on her leaving damage our vet cant fix.

The massive infection of Pyometra could have been controlled but not the internal damage.

I would save her again and again to end her misery and suffering. Its just the sadness we all feel that hurts the most having to say goodbye and know how many people in her life left her down.

Our vet came and lay her down to sleep.
Not before she had a luxury meal and a walk out for some lush grass. Her tummy is full for her journey to the Bridge.
She was so tired but we told her be brave one more time.
See you in the sky tonight. It’s tradition. Let us know you get there safe.

this little dog was picked up in Golden Island Athlone. as the dog was running under cars and nearly got ran over a few times. the dog is at the Family Vets Athlone. If its your dog please contact the vets otherwise the dog will go to the Westmeath Council dog shelter.

Thanks to your support both girls are now just back from our vet.
They have had a full vetting as planned.
New rugs and all their re-feeding plan has been collected from Kellihers.

Let’s start with the smaller mare on the right with Aine we have named Róisín meaning little Rose.

She as I had said has Pyometra. Our vet scanned her and then washed her out.
She is also taking in a lot of air but to be expected over how extremely thin she is behind. That will change as she gains weight and our vet can also help by stitching her but not for now as he has washed her out and he needs to remove the infection first.

Her teeth are not too bad but she will need a dental once she gains more weight to be able to be sedated.

He cleaned her wound and has started her on pain relief and antibiotics. Our vet feels she has a good chance of recovery but he will know more once the blood results are back.

On the left of Aine we have Lasair meaning flame. I just hope she can shine as bright as she can and she needs all the luck you can send her.

Again I knew her Pyometra was bad but it cant get much worse said our vet.

He scanned her and cleaned her out but said be prepared for the worst result, Im sorry 😢

On Monday when he has all the results back only then can he make a decision if he can save her or not 💔

Rescue is also doing right by the animals you stand for and if our vet has no choice to gentle let her go……. we will walk her to The Bridge with a full tummy, drowned in cuddles and set her spirit free.

Id save her over and over again if it meant she would finally be free of all pain and suffering. Its just so hard. Im so sad tonight 🦋

Would anybody recognise this beautiful friendly boy escaped from a car engine around Deerpark Road in June this year and has never been found he is not from the area at all and we really want to ask everyone in the area to please look out for him if you know anybody feeding him or have any information about his whereabouts please contact us.His family are missing his so much.
