The man from Hollyfort, with Carnew roots,
Is always willing to pull on the boots!
No job too big and no task too small,
Our Chairman Murt gives his best to them all.

Always with laughter, a smile and good cheer,
He gives so much to the Club year on year.
And beside him is Nikki, with their wonderful girls,
Supporting him through all of life’s whirls.

So from all of your friends in Carnew Heritage Club,
We raise a glass to you both with love.
To Murt and Nikki, now husband and wife,
May laughter and happiness fill your life! ❤️🥂

Congratulations to our Chairman Martin, and his wife Nikki who tied the knot recently, wishing you both a life time of happiness and good health.

From Photograph to Facade: This Heritage Week, a window exhibition on Carnew’s Main Street invites visitors to explore the story of a historic shopfront that has been part of the town’s streetscape for generations. Through a series of information boards, the display traces how the shopfront changed over time, how elements were gradually lost, and how its recent reinstatement, supported by the Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS), responds to the wider issue of heritage at risk in rural Irish towns.
