Still taking in everything from last week's re:Marc. What an incredible day!
Seeing nearly 200 people from across the Central and Eastern European impact ecosystem come together in Budapest reminded us why we do what we do within Marc Impact Network.
This was the second edition of re:Marc, and we're especially proud that this year the programme expanded to six countries: Hungary, Austria, Romania, Croatia, Czechia and Serbia. Welcoming three new countries is an important milestone, but more importantly, it reflects a growing need for stronger regional collaboration.
Organising an event like this is always intense, but seeing the inspiring conversations, new partnerships and incredible energy in the room makes every challenge worthwhile.
To all of our Hungarian participants: we're incredibly proud of everything you've achieved so far and can’t wait to follow your journey unfold in the future as well! 👏 A special congratulations to our two finalists, Duna Dog Center Alapítvány and , who represented the Hungarian programme among the pitchers. You rocked the stage!
And congratulations to the three award winning ventures, Nepanikař (Czechia) for taking home re:Marc Grand Impact Prize, Origin BCI (Romania) for earning Innovation Champion Award and Talent Lounge by Davincilab (Austria) the Scalability Champion Award. We hope this catalytic grant can greatly contribute to reaching the next milestones in your journey, best of luck!
Big kudos to our local partners, too, who did amazing jobs in developing and supporting their ventures throughout the whole programme. The venture pitches truly underpinned their preparedness and your efforts in helping them succeed. Impact Hub Vienna, Synerb, Startup Kitchen, Asocijacija za Afirmaciju Kulture ASK, Poduzetnički centar KZŽ. 👏
And las but not least, HUUUGE thank you to the ERSTE Foundation, Social Finance, and SIMPACT for your continued trust and partnership. Everything in Marc is team effort. 💙 Together, we're building a stronger impact economy across the CEE.
The expansion of Marc Impact Programme has been co-funded by the EcoVolve Project of the European Union. Implementation partners: IFUA Nonprofit Partner, Erste Social Finance, SIMPACT - Increasing Your Social Impact, Erste Group, Impact Europe, ERSTE Foundation.
