🎳🎯 What a way to finish! 🎳🎯

Last weeks event, voted for by your pupils, was a fitting way to conclude the programme for those schools in attendance. 👏

62 students represented 6 schools brilliantly during the ten pin bowling and laser tag activities. It was lovely to see everyone having so much fun together while reflecting on the journey they have been on over the past year. 👀🤗

Its almost time for Summer Games... ⌛

Its great to hear from one of our deliverers 3Degreez Allstarz CIC - Hereford. Cheer, Dance, Stunts & Tumble. from last years Summer Games!

Not every student finds their thing in traditional PE. That's exactly why 3 Degreez exists. 👏

They offer schools and students an alternative provision built around cheer, a sport that builds confidence, teamwork, and a whole lot of energy. 💫

But it doesn't stop there. Students who've experienced 3 Degreez at our School Games go on to join the programme and many come back as Junior Coaches, gaining real qualifications and leadership experience along the way. 🏅

From first-timer to young leader, its great to see how School Games helps young people find what they enjoy. 💗

Two sessions. 106 students. 11 schools. One incredible day. 🤝

From our morning session of 43 students across 5 schools, to 63 students from 6 schools taking over the afternoon, the energy was unmatched. 🔥

A massive thank you to our delivery partners at British Functional Fitness Federation, The Academy Programme and British Weight Lifting!🎉

🏅 Want to learn more about the Sport Welfare Network?🏅

Join us this Wednesday 10 June, 2–3pm for a free online webinar hosted by the National Active Partnership Organisation and hear about the network, understand the journey so far, impact being made and the emerging learning from the programme.

The network works collaboratively with National Governing Bodies to complement and strengthen existing support available to clubs. The Sport Welfare Officers provide advice and guidance, training, support, and opportunities for clubs and organisations to connect locally to share learning and best practice.

We'll be covering:
✅ The role and purpose of the Sport Welfare Officer Network
✅ How the network is supporting different sports and communities
✅ Connecting local and national systems
✅ Key outcomes, impact, and learning so far
✅ Shifting club culture towards welfare and wellbeing

The webinar is open to anyone working or volunteering in sport who would like to learn more about the network and how we’re working together towards safer, more supportive sporting environments.

The Summer Games are just around the corner, are you ready? 🌟

We spoke to Matt from TheCore Skatehereford Cic, who shared his experience delivering at the Summer Games for the first time.

Having worked with us at HGC, Matt was blown away by the incredible variety of people who come through the doors each with their own goals, challenges, and wins. 🏅

That's what the Summer Games is all about. Meeting people where they are and helping them go further. 💛

This was just one of the amazing activities we delivered and we have so much more in store for this year! We cannot wait to see you there. 🙌

Following The School Fitness Festival's nomination for the Young Person Impact Award at the Your School Games Impact Awards...we can now officially say WE HAVE WON! 🏆 🌟

Our Strategic Lead for Children and Young People, Kerrie O'Mahony and our Senior Children and Young People Project Officer, Jackie Latham, attended the ceremony earlier this week - celebrating amongst the other wonderful award winners and nominees - and our Children and Young People Project Officer, Sarah Milward, attended the School Games Summit as well!❤️

This is a chance for us to celebrate the wonderful efforts of our dedicated Children and Young People team, and our wonderful collaborative partners at The Academy Programme, British Weight Lifting and British Functional Fitness Federation! 🙌

Meet our Girls Champions. 🌟

What started as attending our events as participants has turned into something truly special. These incredible young women grew in confidence, found their voice, and stepped up to become Champions, supporting and inspiring other girls at our festivals. 🙌

This is just one example of how beneficial our volunteers are to make all our events happen.

Seeing their journey and growth as individuals is honestly one of the best parts of what we do. We are so proud of every single one of them. 💜
