A huge thank you to Chris Russell for bringing together the Refugee Week, and particularly this weekends events at Worcester Cathedral.
What made the day so special was the spirit of collaboration. Multiple organisations all came together with a shared desire to create a welcoming, free event for our city, celebrating the stories and cultures that refugees and asylum seekers bring to our community.
The event was attended by people from across Worcester and beyond, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with conversation, creativity, poetry, and friendship. It was wonderful to see so many people connecting and laughing with one another.
We were delighted to be involved not only through Chris but also Steph Green's puppet-making workshop, where families and children enjoyed getting creative together and bringing shadow characters to life.
Events like this remind us that community is built when people choose to work together. Thank you, Chris, for your vision, leadership and commitment to making Worcester a place where everyone belongs.
