Workshop your cap for the parade - start work on your design and take home materials to finish your project at home.

From 3:30 pop along when you can. This is a family activity children and their grown-ups working together

Join us for our Top Caps making workshop on Friday from 3:30-6ish. Start to plan your cap and take home to finish.

On the day of the fete register for the parade or just wear your Top Cap with pride. Everyone taking part in the parade will get a small gift and there will be prizes for the Top Caps.

Hey you
 how’s your craft and unused head gear stash? We need materials for our ‘Top Caps’ parade.

Could you spare some bits and bobs?

We are holding a crafting workshop on Friday from 3:30 but GigNonna | Pop-Up Assistant could collect from you before.

We need child safe scissors, double sided tape, wool pom-poms, foil, net, artificial flowers and leaves, items that could be added to hats or Alice bands.

Come and join in the fun at Dennington FĂȘte, organised by Dennington Sports and Social club on the playing field you can expect all the usual fun.

This year we are encouraging you to recycle some headgear and join our parade. We will be having a workshop of Friday, encouraging families to get together and share ideas. Bring along craft materials to share.

If you have any old hats, Alice bands or caps you are willing to donate as bases please DM.

Please no glitter or hot glue at the hall.

Could you recycle and create some magnificent headgear for our Top Caps Parade?

As part of the fete, on July 4th we are encouraging anyone who wants to join in to up cycle some headgear- you’ll get a little something just for joining in and there will be some best in show prizes. From a decorated hair comb to a full on Carmen Miranda, we can’t wait to see what you create!

 we are going to invite everyone to wear some form of headgear to the village fete on 4th July
 So dig out your abandoned Alice bands, your battered bowlers, your bashed up baseball caps and forgotten fascinators - grab your scrap boxes and recycling what will you create for the parade?

Social Den from 3:30-6:00ish defrag after a busy week, learn more about plans for The ‘Top Caps’ parade for the fete and how you can get involved.

Cinema night - Doors open from 7:00 - Hamnet
FILM NIGHT @ Dennington Village Hall

Our next film, on Friday 12th June, is Hamnet (Cert. 12). Based on the best selling book by Maggie O’Farrell, Hamnet is set in 16th century England, where young tutor and writer William Shakespeare meets Agnes and they fall in love. They have three children, two daughters - Susanna and Judith - and a son - Hamnet. Shakespeare’s career as a playwright starts to take off but this tests his relationship with Agnes and his children. Then tragedy strikes. Very loosely based on real events in Shakespeare’s life, Hamnet has been described as ‘A haunting journey through deep sorrow, beautifully captured by ChloĂ© Zhao - Hamnet will utterly crush you.’ The film starts at 7.30 and the bar and doors open at 7.00. Entrance is ÂŁ5 (ÂŁ3 for 12-16 year olds).

Hamnet is an our final film this summer, as we will be taking a two month break until FILM NIGHT returns in September.
