A lovely day at FramFridge! 💚

We had a brilliant Open Day yesterday! It was a little windy and chilly at times, but there was plenty going on. Together we...

🌱 Moved our newly donated greenhouse into the Growing Space.
🌿 Got stuck into some weeding around the paths and gardens.
🎃 Officially harvested our giant pumpkin.
👶 Welcomed the newest little member of the FramFridge family.

We were also incredibly grateful to receive a huge donation from Thomas Mills High School as part of their Harvest Festival, which has made a real difference to stocking up our stores. We also received a lovely donation of fresh bread from Greener Fram.

A big thank you to everyone who came along, lent a hand, donated, or simply took the time to have a chat with us.

It's days like these that remind us what community is all about. 💚

A huge thank you to Thomas Mills High School & Sixth Form! 💚

We were delighted to receive a fantastic food donation from Thomas Mills High School as part of their Harvest Festival.

This generous contribution will make a real difference in helping us keep our stores stocked and provide practical food support to people in our local community.

Perfectly imperfect. 🌱

Not everything that grows in our garden comes out looking like it belongs on a supermarket shelf.

And that's OK.

A wonky cucumber is still a cucumber. A funny-shaped carrot is still a carrot. And vegetables don't need to look perfect to make a delicious meal.

Good food is good food. 💚

Can you help keep our shelves stocked? 💚

October brings a number of campaigns and awareness days that shine a light on poverty and food insecurity. It's a good time to remember the challenges that people in our community can face.

We know things don't always go to plan. Rising bills, reduced hours or an unexpected expense can make things difficult very quickly, and sometimes people simply need a bit of extra support to get through a difficult patch.

That's where community support matters.

🥫If you're able to help, we'd really appreciate donations of in-date, non-perishable food. You can use the drop box at FramFridge (The Sheds, Saxtead Road), or bring donations along to our next Open Day on Saturday 10 October, 10am–1pm.

Every donation helps us provide practical support to people in our local community.

There are so many people who make Framlingham feel like a community, and we're lucky to have so many of them around FramFridge too.

People of all ages have something to bring to a community. A story to share, a skill to pass on, a helping hand to offer or simply a bit of time to spend with someone else.

Because community is about people, connection and having a place where you feel you belong — and that's something worth celebrating.
