Been trying out a new method to make wild flowers to stitch along the riverbank … using water soluble fabric that will dissolve and leave the stitching ready to sew on … pleased with the result so far … will finish this and post to see what you think … I think it might work ..

A sense of achievement felt whilst making the last piece of needle felted river edge on and the 18ft River Deben is now ready to have its stories added.

It will be on display in the John Gibbins Gallery in the Longshed at The Woodbridge Regatta & Riverside Fair on Sunday July 19th where we will begin to stitch the stories that tells its history over time .

What a fabulous workshop we had on Saturday . Thank you to all who came with their wonderful pieces of history and helped to “ turn the tide “ with the incredible knitted river . The Deben’s history is being beautifully stitched .
