Street Angels have a positive impact on crime and antisocial behaviour in town centres by providing a calming presence on the streets late at night.

The Street Angels patrol the streets and assist people who become vulnerable in any way while enjoying an evening out. Street angels listen, care, offer practical help and can refer people to specialist agencies.

👻🕸️🦇Trick or treat 🎃🧛🧟 - with our Windsor Street Angels it will only be treats and never tricks. We will be out and about across the spooky town tonight and our hub will be open for anyone who finds themselves wanting to be somewhere safe. No special outfits for our team although with our big rucksacks we could be Ghostbusters... Who you gonna call... Windsor Street Angels? 👻 😇

Windsor Street Angels, Windsor Homeless Project and Windsor Foodshare are all part of Alma Beacon, helps those most vulnerable across our town.

How are you spending your extra hour this weekend? Cosy in bed? The weather has been horrendous yesterday and today. These are the nights our hub is really welcomed by all with a safe place to be, hot drinks and snacks. And our patrol deliver warmth and comfort with hot drinks and snacks to rough sleepers across the town too. They'll be out and about till 3am in the rain and wind and our hub angels will be keeping everyone cosy and safe at the Baptist church on Victoria Street too till 3am. Torches are essential on nights like this
along with chargers to get people into Uber and home. Torches, chargers and cables are all on our wishlist and key items we use every single shift.

A huge well done to one of our team leaders Alice who did a full week's work followed by an angels shift overnight on Friday and then completed the Running4women Windsor Women's Run yesterday morning raising funds and awareness for Windsor Street Angels. You can donate here or maybe sign up for your own fundraising challenge?

Our hub is open tonight on Victoria Street providing a safe space for anyone who needs it. This might be someone needing support from the Angels or from the police. Someone wanting a safe place to sit in comfort. Someone in need of a hot drink or snack. Someone simply wanting somewhere to be.

Our hub is open tonight from 22.00-3.30 at the Baptist Church on Victoria Street and our team are out on patrol across the town too.

Earlier this week our team had a refresher for first aid training and first aid is an important part of the support we provide out on the streets, for those at the clubs and in our hub too. From water and sick bags for those that have over indulged to providing essential and critical first aid whilst waiting for the emergency services and everything in between including cut toes, broken noses, head injuries, twisted ankles and the more serious items like head injuries, fight injuries, or the effects of drugs and drink. Our Angels can help provide initial support to help everyone get home safely.

Tonight our Windsor Street Angels are receiving their essential first aid training from the amazing Aim2Aid This training is something we use regularly on shift but also our angels benefit from this knowledge every day too in their normal lives.

All our angels receive training in essential skills like first aid training, vulnerability and homelessness awareness, CCTV and conflict management.

Our Angels come from many different backgrounds with a range of experiences and the only skills they require is to care.

Interested in making a real difference to our most vulnerable? Windsor Street Angels are looking for more volunteers. Our shifts run from 21.30 - approx 3am on a Friday and Saturday night and we have active roles like our patrol roles which walk around the town centre helping anyone they meet who needs support. We also have our hub roles which are static in one location and provide support to all the guests visiting our hub from first aid to drinks and snacks and everything in between.
