OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS, WE'RE GETTING TO KNOW TEAM WHP…

With 27 September getting closer, we thought we'd share a little about the people behind the running shoes – and why they've chosen to run for Windsor Homeless Project.

First up is Lisa.

Lisa has been volunteering with WHP for the past year, so when she tells us why she's chosen to run for us, it comes from seeing the work first-hand.

This will be her first time running the Windsor Half Marathon for charity.

Lisa told us:
“I wanted to run for WHP because, having been a volunteer for a year now, I get to see first-hand the amazing work the team do to support people in our community.”

And we think that's a pretty lovely reason to put yourself through 13.1 miles.

Lisa already gives us her time.

Now she's giving us her miles too.

Thank you, Lisa – we're very lucky to have you running as part of Team WHP.

Over the next few days we'll be sharing more from our runners – some seasoned, some newer to running, but all taking on the same 13.1 miles for the same reason: to help us continue supporting people in our community.

And you can run alongside them without taking a single step.

£5, £10, a share, a cheer – it all counts.

👉

By signing up to run on behalf of WHP, every step and penny you raise will go directly towards helping those suffering from homelessness, rough sleeping and poverty and you will provide a lifeline to those who come through our doors everyday.

WINDSOR… LET'S RUN TOGETHER.

Today we're launching something very special.

The Windsor Half Marathon is nearly here – one of those brilliant times of year when our town comes alive, people line the race, strangers cheer for strangers and our community comes together.

And this year, Windsor Homeless Project is asking you to run with us.

Don't worry… you don't even need running shoes. 😉

Some of us will run the 13.1 miles.

Some of us will donate from our sofas.

Some will share a post.

Some will tell a friend.

Some will stand on the course and cheer.

But we can ALL run together for our community.

Because behind every mile our runners take is something very human.

Today, though, we're asking YOU to take the first step with all of us.

HIT THE JUSTGIVING BUTTON.

https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/windsor-half-marathon2026

£5 matters.
£10 matters.
£20 matters.

And yes – those wonderful bigger donations matter enormously too! 🙏

You might be donating from your kitchen table, your office or your sofa.

But by pressing that button, you're standing alongside our runners and helping us keep that WHP door open for somebody who may need it tomorrow.

Already running the Windsor Half Marathon and haven't chosen a charity?

Choose Windsor Homeless Project. Run with us.

And to every one of our runners who has already stepped forward – THANK YOU.

We're incredibly grateful and so proud to have you representing WHP.

Over the next few weeks we'll meet them, hear their stories, follow their training and cheer them all the way to 27 September.

Running shoes or slippers.
13.1 miles or one click.
There's room for everyone on Team WHP.

LET'S RUN TOGETHER, WINDSOR.

Run for hope. Run for kindness. Run for our community.

Dear Friends,
We are so grateful for all the support and donations we receive, and to our amazing volunteers for all that you do for the project. To show our gratitude and give something back to our community, Carron, our manager at WHP, along with a team of our regular guests who use the project, rallied together on a mission to clear the weeds from around The Holy Trinity Parish & Garrison Church in Trinity Place. This is our old WHP site, and it's used by many to simply hang out and watch the world go by.
Thank you again, and have a good weekend.

Happy weekend, everyone. We're excited to be getting our team together for the Windsor Half Marathon this September, a vital fundraising event for WHP. In the spirit of fitness and supporting our guests who take part in the marathon, we've received a kind donation of sportswear, toiletries, and food from Rund Construction Consultancy as part of their ongoing support of social projects. We appreciate it.

Happy week end to you all

TGIF & Happy Weekend Everyone! 🌞
With the heat this week, WHP opened every day providing a cool space, refreshments, showers and fresh clothing for our guests sleeping wild. A vital lifeline during a difficult few days.
A huge thank you to our mystery donor who regularly drops of several bags of food. Your quiet generosity means so much to us.
It was good to have Dr Ben visit us today, having his expert advice available to our guests is something we are all grateful for.
Thank you All
