WBSBC has had some incredible moments at but the 2026 edition will go down in history as our greatest ever! Top to bottom, J14-J18, everyone did their bit, as did the coaches and as did the parents and supporters! An incredible weekend, one very much earned through a lot of hard work!! Onwards though - much ahead to go after in all year groups!! Thank you to everyone who has been involved!! Big or small your contribution is incredible!

WHAT A WEEKEND at the at Dorney Lake - a best ever for 18 crew entered which was the biggest all boys team and 4th biggest overall returning 13 medals total including x7 GOLDS in Championship Quads Championship Coxed Fours, J18 2nd Quads J16 1st Quads, J16 2nd Quads, J15 1st Quads J15 2nd Quads, SILVER in Championship Doubles Championship Coxless Fours J14 1st Boats Octuples, J14 2nd Boat Octuples J15 2nd Quads, & BRONZE in Championship Pairs - a truly spectacular regatta full of simply incredible racing at a picture perfect Dorney! Huge support at the supporters marquees - the WINDSOR ROAR was heard! CONGRATULATIONS to all the athletes and coaches and congratulations to all the supporters!!! ONWARDS!!

Ready to try something new this summer?

The Windsor Boys’ School Boat Club Learn2Row courses are the perfect introduction to rowing for boys and girls aged 11–13. Whether you are completely new to the sport or looking to build on some previous experience, our courses will help you develop confidence on the water, learn new skills, and make new friends.

Led by experienced coaches at one of the country’s most successful school boat clubs, participants will learn the basics of rowing technique, boat handling, teamwork, and water safety — all while enjoying time on the River Thames.

Spaces are limited, so sign up early and discover why rowing is one of the most exciting sports around!

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate the legend that is Chris Morrell at his 50/80 party on 2nd May. We hope you had a wonderful time and enjoyed the evening as much as we did.

We would especially like to thank those who helped make the occasion even more memorable — in particular for very kindly delivering our VIP guest to the Royal Windsor Racecourse, for the lovely chocolates, for their help with the table decorations and for the phenomenal birthday cake!

Thanks also to Emilio Hernandez (Alumni) who designed the fabulous artwork for the celebrations 🙌

We are already planning Chris' 90th - save the date!!

What an amazing day at Junior Inter-Regional finals in Nottingham! X4 GOLDS for WBSBC representing Thames Up River East (1 of 16 UK rowing regions!) J14 coxed quad J15 coxed quad J16 coxless quad and J15 double! Plus very good performances in j16 pairs and j15 fours and J16 eights! Awesome day and huge thank you to all the parents too!

What an amazing 4 weeks!! Training camp in Portugal (52 boys) then onto Ghent Spring Regatta in Belgium! Following on from Amsterdam Head of Heineken, Schools Head, Junior Sculling Head and Great Britain Trials. Ghent was amazing - biggest ever team taken to an international regatta - 60 boys! Some amazing racing and some great results setting us up for the regatta season ahead! Onwards!

Have you got your tickets? Time is running out....

This is not the usual annual Boat Club dinner, and it is not a fundraising event. The ticket price simply covers the cost of the evening itself, with current boys’ tickets subsidised so they are paying less than the actual cost. This night is purely about coming together as a community to celebrate Chris and properly thank him for everything he has given over the years.

We have secured the beautiful riverside marquee at the racecourse. With the hope of some May sunshine and the river alongside us, it truly is a wonderful setting to gather together.

The ticket includes canapés on arrival, a welcome drink and a delicious three-course meal. There will also be some very special touches and surprises woven into the evening to make sure Chris is firmly in the spotlight, along with a great atmosphere and music including a band to carry us through the night.

Tickets are limited and we would genuinely hate for anyone to miss out.
