Lions Club of Windsor

Lions Club of Windsor www.windsorlions.co.uk We then distribute the funds to well deserving causes and get hands on in the allocation. Why not get involved with the Windsor Lions?

We are an informal action orientated charity club of 30 members with a wide and varied membership, male and female, young and old, from many different careers and backgrounds. This is what makes our club great fun and thoroughly rewarding, raising funds and providing services for those less fortunate locally, nationally and internationally! As an active club we have been able to raise in excess of

£2m through fundraising events both large and small and through corporate sponsorship. Not bad for a local charity club, however; none of this would have been possible without people like you. Our members are after all, ordinary people doing extraordinary things!! We appreciate life pressures and circumstances are always changing so we do what we can, and you will be able to do as much as the time you have available. You would be welcome at any of our monthly meetings to find out more before joining Lions. If you are bored of TV or want to put your skills to some good and would like to do something worthwhile why not get in touch and come along, you’ll be warmly welcomed! A busy but successful weekend for Windsor Lions Club, working with national charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) to deliver vital heart screenings at St Edwards Royal Free Middle School.

👫 188 young people (aged 14–35) received ECG screenings, helping raise awareness of cardiac health in the younger generation. The £17,000 event was jointly funded by PQA Windsor Group and Windsor Lions Club.
❤️ 11 further ECHO tests were recommended, giving reassurance to many and ensuring follow-up where needed.

With 12 young people dying each week from sudden cardiac death, events like this are crucial, especially as no national screening programme exists.

A huge thank you to CRY and PQA Windsor for their professionalism and dedication.

👉 It’s your last chance to see the Windsor Lions Santa Sleigh before the BIG day!

✨ Come and say hello, take a picture with Santa, and if you can, please donate.

Any donations are welcome... however big or small!

All funds raised by our Santa Sleigh will go towards supporting disadvantaged children in our local communities, as well as aiding Thames Valley Adventure Playground (TVAP), a charity supporting children and adults with all types of special need, however mild or profound, their siblings and parents and carers.
