A member of St John’s Ambulance Association will be will be giving a presentation on how to deal with emergency situations such as choking; CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), and the use of a defibrillator (automated external defibrillator, AED).
Date & Time: Thursday, 15th October, at 10.30am at our Scottish Hall in Shelbourne Road.
This promises to be a fascinating and very useful presentation. If you would like to attend, then you and your friends will be most welcome.
Tea/coffee and biscuits will be served during the morning.
Entrance fee is £4.50 each, cash only please.

29/09/26: Some pictures from Monday night at the Scottish Hall. We danced, and celebrated Alex’s birthday, and Robin and Marion’s 58th wedding anniversary. Huge congratulations to all, and thank you for the cake.

A splendid Bournemouth Caledonian Society walk around Holt Heath National Nature Reserve, part of the National Trust Kingston Lacy estate. Stunning scenery, super company, and great weather; all followed by delish and convivial lunch at the Three Legged Cross pub 👍😀

28/05/26: Rose Ceilidh 🌹🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿: A lovely evening at the Cally Club’s Rose Ceilidh. Thanks to the Council for organising. Energetic and enjoyable social and Scottish Country Dancing, convivial company, fun entertainment and “spots”, and a delish buffet. We all enjoyed a splendid and relaxed evening. 😁👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

22/01/26: Burns Nicht supper dance. In celebration of Burns’ 267th birthday. Splendid evening spent with Caledonian Society members, friends and guests celebrating the life and works of Robbie Burns.
Commenced with address to the Haggis, followed by feast of Haggis, mashed neeps and champit tatties, plus traditional dessert. Then we were royally entertained with the Immortal Memory, beautiful singing, fun toasts to the Lassies and the Lads, followed by Scottish Country dancing, - which all made for a splendid evening of food, entertainment, dancing, and great camaraderie.
Huge thanks to the Council for organising, and all the members who participated in such a delightful evening.
