Spreading awareness about our vaccination campaigns 💉

We are currently completing our annual vaccination campaigns in Malawi and Mozambique. But how do owners know about our campaigns?

Through sensitisation, which is a crucial first step of our campaigns. We inform communities about upcoming campaigns through different ways - flyers, posters, announcement trucks, radio, visits to schools and much more.

Why is this important?

This ensures that communities are aware and prepared for the arrival of our teams and willing to get their pet vaccinated.

This helps reduce vaccination barriers such as concerns about the risk or owners not being available.

A One Health approach: Pilot vaccination campaign in Rwanda 🐕

In March 2026, we expanded our work in East Africa to support a pilot vaccination drive in Rwanda. Working alongside Welfare for Animals Guild (WAG) Rwanda and the Government of Rwanda, we completed a two-week vaccination campaign in Kigali.

This pilot campaign marked the country’s first coordinated, large-scale vaccination of dogs - a significant milestone and an important step towards a rabies-free Rwanda.

It's the last weekend of our annual vaccination campaign in Blantyre City. Our teams have been setting up static vaccination clinics in different locations throughout the city for people to bring their dogs for vaccination.

💉🐕 Over 22,000 dogs have been vaccinated so far!
