Girls In Gloves (GIG) is an England Boxing initiative set up with 2 main goals...

- Introduce Female Boxing into Schools

- To Increase female participation in Boxing

With more and more girls dropping out of sports every day and with the stereotype that Boxing is a boys-only

sport, the numbers of Female Boxers is very low throughout the Country. The GIG initiative aims to make Boxing more easily accessible to girls of all ages, whether they want to do it for fitness, confidence, make new friends or compete, everyone must feel welcome

Our School Boxing Program has already been very successful and the first 3 clubs we set up saw over 100 girls sign up to take part. We aim to keep pushing forward with these and hope that more clubs around the country are able to provide something similar.
