Whilst none of this should be necessary at a rally it’s great to see our friends at Chickerell Steam & Vintage Show showing such commitment to keeping everyone safe and ensuring you all have an enjoyable weekend. Only 2 weeks to go now.
🚨 Important Information for Chickerell Steam & Vintage Show 2026 🚨
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing a safe, enjoyable, and family-friendly event for everyone, we have been working closely with UDL Security LTD and Dorset Police to introduce a number of enhanced safety measures for 2026.
The show has always operated a zero-tolerance approach to illegal drugs, and this year we will be introducing additional security checks at the site entrance. These measures will include the use of a specialist detection dog and bag searches to help ensure prohibited items are not brought onto the showground.
To support this process, an amnesty bin will be available before the security checkpoint, allowing visitors to dispose of any prohibited or illegal items before entering the site. Items can be surrendered anonymously and without question.
We will also be increasing CCTV coverage and improving lighting across the showground to further enhance visitor safety and security throughout the event.
In addition, from 2026 all visitors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult when entering the show. The accompanying adult must remain on site for the duration of the visit. Any child under 16 found unaccompanied will be escorted to the main entrance and a parent or guardian will be contacted to collect them.
These changes are being introduced to help ensure that Chickerell Steam & Vintage Show remains a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable event for all our visitors, exhibitors, traders, and volunteers.
