A huge thank you to an incredible fundraising trio!

We’re so grateful to David and his sons, Matt and Callum, who are taking on an epic 85km walk from Weymouth to Hengistbury Head in just two days to raise vital support for our work at Wimborne Foodbank+ 👣

Your support helps us provide a warm, welcoming space where people can access practical help, debt advice and budgeting support, connect with the brilliant agencies who visit us regularly and much more 🥰

Every mile they walk, and every penny raised will help bring dignity, compassion and hope to local people who need it most.

Last week, some of our TBS volunteers were delighted to attend Wimborne Foodbank’s fundraised coffee morning hosted by Rick Stein.

We’re proud to have been working alongside Wimborne Foodbank since 2019 as part of our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility strategy. Over the years, our colleagues have supported the Foodbank through a variety of initiatives, including:

💰 Matched colleague donations
🏷️ Volunteering with stock labelling and date checking
🥕 Organising food donation collections
📅 Supporting Foodbank events
🧺 Packing food hampers for local families

And even transforming our Senior HR Business Partner into a Christmas elf every December! 🎄🧝

Located just around the corner from Teachers Building Society HQ at Leigh Park Family Hub in Wimborne, the Foodbank provides far more than emergency food parcels. Their dedicated team also offers debt advice and budgeting support, referrals to specialist organisations, and assistance with grants for furniture, appliances, clothing, and other household essentials.

A huge thank you to Sharon and her amazing team for the incredible work they do to support people across our local community.

The Teachers Building Society have been an incredible support over the last 7 years, getting stuck in with volunteering, organising food donations, supporting our events and even providing a faithful Christmas elf for our annual Santa's grotto! Thank you! 🤩

This year our Fantastic Family Fun Event is on Saturday 25th July from 10.30-2.30pm & it is a Wimborne Town of Culture event. It is on the field by Wimborne Rugby Club & everyone is welcome (we would appreciate voluntary donations if you are able to) It is bigger & better than ever as we have children’s entertainer’s, face painting, animals, balloons, outdoor games & play areas, penalty shootout, beat the bar, art, crafts, competition’s, refreshments, fish & chips, ice creams, the Friendly Food Club & more!!
