We’re looking at the possibility of bringing a daytime Pilates class to the Hub on Mondays and we’d love to know if there’s enough interest!

✨ Meet the Team – Collette Benton ✨

This week we're introducing Collette Benton, our Casework and Safeguarding Quality Coordinator.

Collette has been part of the Family Gateway journey since the very beginning, joining us when the charity was established in 2011. Her knowledge, experience and unwavering commitment have helped shape who we are today.

Collette leads our Looked After Care Project, supports our Family Services Team and oversees safeguarding across the organisation, helping to ensure that the children, young people and families we work alongside receive the highest standard of support.

One of Collette's greatest strengths is her willingness to speak up when it matters most. She isn't afraid to challenge systems, ask difficult questions or advocate for families facing the most complex situations. She works tirelessly to make sure that every family has a voice and that children's needs remain at the heart of every decision.

Her passion, professionalism and determination make a lasting difference to the lives of so many people in our community, and we're incredibly grateful to have her on our team.

Thank you, Collette, for your dedication, compassion and for always standing alongside the families who need it most. 💙

Looking for something fun for your young person to get involved in? Our Mini Youth Zone brings together a brilliant mix of activities all in one session! 🙌

🌱 Gardening – get stuck in, get creative and grow something amazing!
🎮 Gaming – play, have fun and make new friends!
👩‍🍳 Cooking – learn new skills and make some tasty treats!

Our sessions give young people aged 7–10 the opportunity to try new things, build confidence, learn new skills and socialise in a safe and welcoming environment. 💚

✨ Meet the Team – Julie Dyos ✨

This week we're introducing Julie Dyos, our Quality, Risk & Compliance Manager.

Julie plays a vital role behind the scenes, helping to ensure Family Gateway is a safe, well-governed and compliant organisation. She oversees quality, risk and compliance, making sure we meet our legal and regulatory responsibilities while creating strong foundations for our future growth.

Her role is all about giving the organisation the confidence to move forward. From reviewing policies and procedures to monitoring risk and ensuring best practice, Julie helps make sure we're doing things the right way so we can continue delivering high-quality support to our community.

Julie also brings valuable operational experience to the role, having previously been our Hub Manager. This means she understands not only the importance of governance and compliance, but also the realities of frontline community work and what our teams need to succeed.

Her attention to detail, knowledge and calm, practical approach help protect both our organisation and the people we support, ensuring we can continue making a difference for years to come.
