Members of our County Team and Trustee Board spent the day at The Scout Association’s Review of the Year and AGM in London today — proudly representing Scouts across Northumberland.

They joined volunteers from across the UK to celebrate the amazing achievements of the past year, and to reflect on all the brilliant work happening locally and nationally to give young people a place to belong.

The AGM is also a key moment for us to help shape the future of Scouting. Today, added our voices, experiences and ideas to the national conversation — helping to keep our movement strong, sustainable and full of opportunity for years to come. ⚜️💛

⚠️ Very high fire risk ⚠️

Following the government's emergency alert this evening, there is a very high risk of wildfires nationwide.

Northumberland Scouts should not undertake any activity that could cause a fire. This includes the use of disposable BBQs, firepits, garden incinerators or fireworks.

With the current dry conditions, even a small flame can rapidly develop into a major wildfire, placing lives, homes, businesses and emergency responders at risk.

This restriction applies to all Scouting activities within Northumberland Scouts, including those at campsites, group premises, activity days and external venues.

Please ensure that planned activities are reviewed and changed if necessary.

Thank you for helping us to keep everyone safe.

We’re super proud of you all 🌟
