π³βοΈ Learning through nature...
As part of our children's gardening sessions, we helped to prune back some overgrown sycamore branches that were hanging over the garden paths. While we were at it, we collected the sycamore seed pods and learned about how these amazing trees spread their seeds.
One of the highlights was discovering lots of tiny leafhopper nymphs hiding amongst the leaves! π¦π They sparked plenty of curiosity and gave us a chance to talk about the incredible variety of insects that call our garden home.
From learning how to use secateurs safely to discovering the wildlife living right beneath our noses, every activity in the garden is an opportunity to explore, build confidence, and connect with nature.
What interesting creatures have you spotted in your garden recently? πΏπ
