On Thursday 17 September, 6:30pm–8pm, Dominic will be delivering ‘Keeping Warm This Winter Shouldn’t Cost the Earth’ – a practical talk about how to keep your home warm this winter while keeping both your energy bills and carbon footprint as low as possible.

Dominic will look at why energy costs have risen and share practical advice to help you use energy more efficiently and reduce your reliance on fossil fuels.

The talk will cover:
• What grants and schemes are available to help make homes warmer and more affordable to run
• The best temperature to set your room thermostat
• Which groups are most vulnerable to the effects of living in a cold home
• Alternatives to using fossil fuels for home heating
