Today Informal Learning took part in Wakefield Mental Health Day and it was great to see so many organisations helping build awareness and showcasing what help is available in the Wakefield District.

It was a great opportunity to share some best practice and also get some referrals for those who need our support.

A proud moment for Informal Learning!

Last night, we officially signed the Armed Forces Covenant at the co-signing event at Wakefield Trinity RLFC, demonstrating our commitment to supporting members of the Armed Forces community, including serving personnel, veterans, reservists and their families.

We are honoured to stand alongside other organisations making a positive difference and ensuring that those who serve, or have served, are treated fairly and with the respect they deserve.

We’ve just collected our first surplus food donation from Sainsbury's, organised by FareShare! Our support workers are busy preparing food parcels to hand out and this food will be greatly received by our service users. It’s great to see good food not going to waste and being given out to those in need. ❤️

What a fantastic turn out we had today at our Hub event. A special thanks to all the organisations that came along and talked to our service users about important issues from health and wellbeing to beating addiction.

We are hosting our next Hub Event on Friday 25th September, which will be open to all of our service users. These events are a great opportunity for local organisations to collaborate and reach out to those that need guidance and support.

We started the week off with outreach with our friends at Informal Learning Ltd. Staff are able to meet customers on the street and encourage them directly into accommodation. ❤️

We are proud to share the transformation of one of our properties. The refurbishment has created a brighter, safer, and more welcoming environment for service users, reinforcing our commitment to providing quality housing and support for those who need it most. A massive thank you to our maintenance team who have worked tirelessly over the last couple of weeks, you should all be very proud of what you have achieved.
