This morning we enjoyed watching an incredible sunrise over the district whilst on our outreach with Bevan inclusive health and wellbeing service.

However we were well aware of the heat forecast for the day ahead.

We will be spending today working closely with other support agencies to provide
- shelter from the heat
- bottled water
- suitable clothing
- suncream
- hats

Yesterday we ran our first Let’s Get Cooking programme alongside Cap Care Wakefield.

Customers cooked a spaghetti bolognaise and enjoyed the oppertunity to be together.

We hope that this is a developing weekly programme that provides some basic life skills for customers alongside a big dollop of fun 😃

This morning, we joined the Rough Sleeper Support Service for their morning outreach, working together to engage with people sleeping rough and offer immediate support.

Partnerships like these make a real difference. By working closely together, we can help people move off the streets and into safe accommodation as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Last month alone, we successfully housed three people on the very same day they were referred directly from the street—a reminder of what can be achieved when organisations collaborate!

Here at Informal Learning Limited, we're passionate about making our service users feel at home and as comfortable as possible. We are in need of second hand furniture that is fit for purpose, that can help turn our houses into homes. We are currently accepting donations for wardrobes, drawers, tables and chairs.
