Wakefield Scouts Keep up to date with all the exciting news and adventures from the members of Wakefield District Scouts.

Wakefield Scout District is a lively place in which to Join The Adventure! Scouting is open to all; regardless of age, gender, race or religion and offers opportunities to learn new skills, meet new friends and have lots of fun. Young people aged between 6 and 25 can join one of the many youth sectionss based in the area and adults over the age of 18 are invited to volunteer! The District covers a

vast area including Ossett, Horbury, Wakefield City Centre, Sandal, Newmillerdam and Durkar, so there will be a group in your area.

Mental Health Awareness Week (11-17 May) is an annual event helping people find small ways to look after their wellbeing.

Try some of our top ten group activities to learn more about emotions, support friends and explore what makes us feel happy.

A big thank you to our partners the Rail Industry, HSBC UK, Hobbycraft and GO Outdoors for recognising the importance of mental health and wellbeing for young people and supporting these activities.
